 Yes, folks, there are a few of us who are getting their hands dirty with Sims 3, and you can expect some downloads shortly. Don't worry, I don't think anyone will be totally abandoning Sims 2 anytime soon.
It should be pointed out that we recently passed 1,000 members at this site, and that number is growing every day! Why not introduce yourself in a forum thread, or just say "Hi!" in the Shoutbox?

Yep! All downloads on the site are working and available at the click of your mousses! :D Unfortunately, I had to purge some uploads that didn't have files attached to them, something went wrong with the process at the time they were uploaded, so if you don't see your upload in the downloads, please feel free to try again. If you're having a problem, ask questions!
Pictures can be attached to uploads also and loaded on this site (not thru photobucket or other hosts!) as demonstrated in my newest upload, though I'm going to have to write a short tutorial on that. |
 Folks, we've been dealing with a LOT of spam here lately, and we've wasted precious time deleting posts, banning spammers, and blacklisting IP addresses. Until we can stem the tide of spam, any new registrants will have to be approved by an administrator. We're looking at ways to deal with the issue, and we're sorry for any inconvenience. Now, get back to your gurls!

Can you believe it? Transgender Sims just passed the 500 Members mark! Now that 2011 is in full swing, it's time we make good on our promise to make this site the best it can be. We can't do it alone. Start a forum topic. Show us pictures of your gurls. Tell us where we can find the latest hair and makeup for our creations. At the very least, give us a "shout" in Shoutbox and let us know you're here!

Well, thanks to Tirgra (welcome!), we're now up to 300 members! Real life is getting in the way of us updating the site as much as we'd like (isn't it funny how that always seems to happen). Stick around, we're working on all sorts of goodies! In the meantime, why not introduce yourself? We've got several forums set up, why not use them. Give us a shout, it's why the Shoutbox is there! Your interaction with the site gets the creative juices flowing!

| While we continue to work out the intricacies of running this forum, I'd just like to inform everyone that I have created a Facebook group in connection with Transgender Sims. I don't know how long I'll keep it active, because our main concern is this site. I've discovered dozens of Sims-related Facebook groups, and I think it could be a great tool to attract people to the site who otherwise might not even know we exist. It could also be a great way to let people know when the site is updated, too! The group is here if you want to check it out. If you're afraid to join the group using your everyday profile, just create another FB "alias" account and join the fun!

All of us gurls at Transgender Sims would like to take a moment to point out and congratulate ourselves now that we now have 100+ registered members. Not too shabby for a site that's been up for about a month with little fanfare, huh?
We're hard at work at getting the hang of how the site's plumbing works (and how to utilize it to best suit our little community), so check in with us often. There will be plenty of goodies here for your downloading pleasure in the coming weeks and months (and years, hopefully), so sit tight and bear with us. Wow! We have been up and running for just a little over two weeks, and we already have 51 members! That is absolutely amazing! In addition, Selina's creations are being downloaded like crazy! Last, we are also in the top rankings in Google, which makes it extremely easy for people of like minds to find us and join our community!
I do wish that we had not been in such a rush to bring up a new site... it just seemed urgent at the time, and had been an on-going concern. The main reason I wish that I had hesitated was because, while I have a good amount of knowledge about building websites, I knew little about PHP and content management systems such as this one; PHP Fusion.
I now realize that with a little more research and knowledge that we may have found a better solution. While flawed, there are benefits to this system, and perhaps after some research we would not have been able to find anything better.
My knowledge is growing, and in the background... when I have time from work and school, I am researching enhancements to this system... for every five I look at and test, I reject four and implement one. I really do want to make this the best possible site! I really do want our community to grow and prosper as a social site for anyone who is interested in creating a transgendered alternative lifestyle for their Sims.
I do welcome help... If you wish to google the term "PHP Fusion 7 Mods," and look at (there are a number of sites) mods and read the user reviews, then recommend them to me as possible site enhancements... (refrain from ones that other users have reported bugs) that would be greatly appreciated! I will check them out for sure!
Things I am currently on the lookout for
- A better user upload system (even though I think I have found the best that is available).
- A user photo gallery that allows unrestricted photo uploads (without moderator intervention and approval).
- A more versatile theme for the site.

Selina and I have been quite busy, and I really do hope people will understand that this is going to take a little bit of time to get set up, and moving in the direction we want it to! So, Please be patient, and keep communicating with us so that we can incorporate you suggestions and ideas in to this new site!

I can say we are both exhausted!
